If i DO plug it in.. then it usualy has faulty pixels after about 10 seconds and freezes compltely 5 seconds after random pixels change color. My problem = starts here: I change the foreground color to black and choose the Flood = Fill tool and click in the selection. I am supposed to see some changes = but nothing .... It stopped at the dark red because the tolerance was set to the color at the start of the fill only. It stopped at the change of color.

In STB Vision Properties window it has a check box to allow color palette switch without restarting Windows. When I check the box and then try to change from 256 to 16 bit color it still requires me to restart Windows to change color depth. Am I mis-understanding what this option means? Please help?

To my dismay I noticed that now the console blanking didn't switch to a black screen anymore, but to a blue screen (serves me right for changing the bg color by using a ioctl :-). I think it might be a more acceptable behaviour if blanking the console would change the background to black as well. No!
